  • Commanders' Zach Ertz: Meager output in Sunday's win

Ertz had two receptions on four targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 23-20 wild-card round win over the Buccaneers.

Ertz failed to continue the scoring binge he went on in the second half of the regular season, but he still played a vital role in the Commanders advancing to the next round of the playoffs. The veteran tight end's receptions came on successful third- and fourth-down attempts as Washington dominated the time-of-possession game Sunday. Look for Ertz to remain involved as a key safety valve for Jayden Daniels as the sixth-seeded Commanders visit the No. 1-seeded Lions in Saturday's divisional round matchup.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Career game in playoff win

Brown hauled in all five of his targets for 89 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-20 win over Tampa Bay.

Brown got the scoring going for Washington when he brought down a 10-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter of Sunday's wild-card round matchup. The fourth-year pro out of North Carolina tacked on 79 more yards in order to finish with his best receiving line in the Commanders' first playoff appearance since drafting the wideout in 2021. Brown may be asked to continue his elevated role in the divisional round if Washington is forced to keep up with Detroit's high-octane offense.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Struggles in tough matchup

Robinson was held to 16 yards on 10 carries while catching four of five targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Buccaneers.

Robinson failed to generate any running lanes against Pro Bowl DT Vita Vea and the interior of Tampa Bay's defense. Quarterback Jayden Daniels wound up leading the Commanders in carries (13) as the rushing offense was forced to operate outside of the numbers in the second half. Robinson also had to deal with the presence of veteran backup Austin Ekeler, who was activated from IR in Week 18 and poached 11 touches for a combined 53 yards in Sunday's narrow victory. With a shared backfield and a potential pass-heavy game plan set for the divisional round, Robinson makes for a marginal DFS option against the Lions on Saturday.

  • Commanders' Terry McLaurin: Strong numbers in playoff win

McLaurin finished with seven receptions on 10 targets for 89 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-20 win over Tampa Bay.

McLaurin was narrowly edged out by Mike Evans (7-92-1) for the best receiving line in this wild-card round showdown, but the former got the last laugh after finishing on the winning side Sunday. The 29-year-old McLaurin now has 14 touchdown receptions in 18 combined regular and postseason games this year, which matches the combined total from his previous three seasons. Rookie Jayden Daniels' strong quarterback play has been the key difference, as the QB/WR duo have hit the air flying in their first season as teammates. McLaurin will have a prime opportunity to put up big numbers in the divisional round of the playoffs against a banged-up Lions secondary Saturday.

  • Commanders' Jayden Daniels: Performs well in first playoff game

Daniels completed 24 of 35 pass attempts for 268 yards and two touchdowns while rushing 13 times for 36 yards in Sunday's 23-20 playoff win over the Buccaneers.

Daniels looked like a seasoned veteran in his postseason debut, showing tremendous poise in the pocket (110.2 QB rating) without committing a turnover in a ruckus road environment. The rookie standout didn't post gaudy rushing totals on 13 attempts, but his four-yard scramble on third down in the waning moments of Sunday's narrow victory helped push Washington into the next round of the playoffs. Daniels and the Commanders will face a stiffer test in the divisional round when the team travels to Detroit to face the NFC's No. 1-seeded Lions on Saturday. Despite entering the contest as an underdog, the dual-threat quarterback still makes for a strong fantasy play given how decimated Detroit's secondary has become due to injury.

  • Commanders' Jordan Magee: Questionable to return Sunday

Magee (hamstring) is questionable to return to Sunday night's wild-card game against the Buccaneers.

Magee appears to have aggravated the hamstring injury that sidelined him for the team's last two regular-season games. The linebacker's absence only has an impact on special teams.

  • Commanders' Daron Payne: Questionable to return Sunday

Payne (finger) is questionable to return to Sunday night's NFC wild-card game against the Buccaneers.

Payne suffered a finger injury late in the first half, exiting the contest as a result. The defensive tackle recorded a solo tackle before leaving the game. In Payne's absence, Sheldon Day and Jer'Zhan Newton will operate in more significant roles on the defensive line.

  • Commanders' Ben Sinnott: Returns to action

Sinnott (shoulder) returned to action in Sunday night's NFC wild-card game against Tampa Bay.

Sinnott suffered a shoulder injury in the first half, but he has now returned to the field to open the second half. He'll continue to operate as the team's No. 3 tight end behind Zach Ertz and John Bates.

  • Commanders' Ben Sinnott: Questionable to return Sunday

Sinnott (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday night's wild-card game against the Buccaneers.

Sinnott went down with a shoulder injury in the first half, exiting the contest as a result. In his absence, Zach Ertz and John Bates will continue to handle the lion's share of the snaps at tight end.

  • Commanders' K.J. Osborn: Inactive Sunday

Osborn (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday night's wild-card game versus Tampa Bay.

Osborn will take a seat in the first round of the playoffs and his absence won't have much of an offensive impact on Washington. The Commanders will lean on the likes of Terry McLaurin and Olamide Zaccheaus at wide receiver against the Buccaneers.

  • Commanders' Jamison Crowder: Active versus Tampa Bay

Crowder (hamstring) is listed as active for Sunday night's wild-card round game against the Buccaneers.

After being limited at practice this past week, Crowder headed into the Commanders' postseason opener listed as questionable. With his active status confirmed, Crowder will bolster the team's depth at wideout and provide a punt return option. However, apart from a 2/15/2 receiving line in Week 16 versus Philadelphia, Crowder's fantasy impact has been modest. Overall, the 31-year-old has recorded nine catches for 72 yards and two TDs on 13 targets in six games.

  • Commanders' Chris Rodriguez: Inactive Sunday

Rodriguez (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday night's wild-card game against the Buccaneers.

Rodriguez will be on the sidelines for the first round of the playoffs versus Tampa Bay. Washington will lean on Brian Robinson, Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols at running back in the wild-card round.
