  • Packers' John Williams: Sidelined to begin rookie year

Williams (undisclosed) was placed on the active/PUP list on Friday, Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com reports.

Williams was selected in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He's expected to switch to guard after playing tackle in college at Cincinnati, though the first step will be for him to get healthy enough to take the field.

  • Packers' Elgton Jenkins: Still sidelined

Jenkins (undisclosed) was placed on the active/non-football injury list Friday, Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com reports.

Jenkins sat out portions of mandatory minicamp due to a contract dispute. However, the Packers confirmed that Jenkins is dealing with an injury at the start of training camp, though it's unclear what the issue is.

  • Packers' Micah Robinson: Sidelined to start camp

Robinson (undisclosed) was placed on the active/PUP list Friday, Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com reports.

Robinson was a seventh-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, though he could make the team given Green Bay's lack of depth in the secondary. First, however, he'll need to get healthy and on the practice field.

  • Packers' Collin Oliver: Placed on PUP list

Oliver (undisclosed) was placed on the active/PUP list Friday, Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com reports.

Oliver was selected in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft despite suffering a foot injury during his final collegiate season. He participated in the combine, so this issue presumably isn't related, though that is still unclear at this point.

  • Packers' Alex Hale: Sidelined to start training camp

Hale (undisclosed) was placed on the active/non-football injury list Friday, Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com reports.

Hale spent the entire 2024 season on the Packers' practice squad and could be headed that direction again in 2025. However, he'll first have to get back on the field after recovering from his undisclosed injury.

  • Packers' Amar Johnson: Begins camp on NFI list

Johnson (undisclosed) was placed on the active/non-football injury list Friday, Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com reports.

Johnson joined the Packers as an undrafted free agent after a very productive collegiate career with South Dakota State as both a running back and kick returner. However, he was facing an uphill battle to make the roster out of training camp, and starting out on the sideline won't help his cause.

  • Packers' Quay Walker: Placed on active/PUP list

The Packers placed Walker (undisclosed) on the active/PUP list Friday, Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com reports.

Despite racking up at least 100 tackles in each of his first three seasons as a pro, the 2022 first-round pick didn't have the fifth-year option on his rookie contract picked up by Green Bay this spring, meaning he's set to play out the 2025 campaign on an expiring deal. He'll also be contending with second-year pro Edgerrin Cooper at off-ball linebacker after the latter capped his rookie year with standout play down the stretch, featuring 42 tackles, including 1.0 sack, and one interception in five games between Week 15 and a wild-card loss at Philadelphia. Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reported Friday that Walker dealt with an injury during the offseason program, but once he proves his health, he'll be able to practice at any point during training camp, which officially kicks off for Packers veterans this coming Tuesday.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Officially on active/PUP list

The Packers placed Watson (knee) on the active/PUP list Friday, Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com reports.

This move is merely procedural as Watson continues his recovery from the torn ACL he suffered in his right knee Week 18 of last season. Considering he's only a bit more than six months removed from the injury, he seems hard-pressed to progress enough to be available Week 1 against the Lions on Sunday, Sept. 7, but coach Matt LaFleur told Ryan Wood of USA Today in early May that Watson "looks like a freak, like he always does. In a positive way." Watson's status will be monitored as the Packers embark on training camp and the preseason, but cut-down day on Aug. 26 will be of keen interst to see if the team moves him to the reserve/PUP list, which would require him to miss the first four games of the upcoming campaign.

  • Packers' Josh Jacobs: Still No. 1 RB, but backup is TBD

Jacobs remains the Packers' unquestioned No. 1 running back entering the 2025 season, but his primary backup is to be determined, Mike Spofford of the team's official site reports.

Green Bay seemingly used a third-round pick in the 2024 Draft on MarShawn Lloyd to solidify its reserve RB ranks behind Jacobs, but Lloyd managed just one appearance (and seven touches) as a rookie due to a variety of health concerns. With Lloyd sidelined for most of last season, Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks combined for 161 touches in the regular season, which was a far cry from Jacobs' 337. Jacobs boasts four campaigns of 1,000-plus rushing yards in his six-year career, and considering the workload he handled in 2024, he's set to take on a similar burden this year. Still, if Lloyd proves his health and sheds his fumble-prone label from college, he could swap places with Wilson as the No. 2 option in the Packers backfield.
