Eagles' Sydney Brown: Limited role in 2024
Brown finished the 2024 season with seven total tackles (six solo), while also adding two passes defensed, including one interception, and a forced fumble over 11 regular-season games.
Brown saw his role on defense diminish in his second season with the Eagles, operating primarily as a special-teams option in 2024. The safety missed the first five games of the year with a knee injury, limiting his upside early in the year. Brown figures to be set to play a similar role with Philadelphia in 2025.

Eagles' Sydney Brown: Cleared to play against Washington
Brown (concussion) is active for Sunday's game against the Commanders.
Brown was diagnosed with a concussion during the Eagles' Week 15 win over the Steelers. He started the week out with a DNP on Wednesday, but he managed to increase his practice participation that culminated in a full practice Friday. Brown has done enough to clear the league's five-step concussion protocols and will suit up in Sunday's NFC East showdown.

Brown (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's contest against the Steelers, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.
Brown suffered a blow to the head on the game's opening play and was evaluated for a concussion. It's unclear whether he was diagnosed with a concussion, but his day has come to an end regardless. Brown's impact is primarily on special teams, so his absence won't cause any major issues for Philadelphia's defense.

Brown (knee) did not practice Friday and has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
Brown was unable to practice all week due to a knee injury, and his next opportunity to play will be Week 15 against the Steelers on Sunday, Dec. 15. Brown has mostly played on special teams this season, but with Reed Blankenship (concussion) also ruled out for Sunday's game, Tristin McCollum is in line to start at free safety alongside strong safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson.
