Texans' Danielle Hunter: Sack leader in Houston
Hunter recorded 54 tackles, 15.0 sacks, three passes defensed, three forced fumble and one fumble recovery over 17 regular-season games in 2025.
Hunter led the Texans in sacks for a second consecutive season, as the bookend combination of him and Will Anderson (12.0 sacks) once again wreaked havoc on opposing offenses. This was the fourth consecutive season and seventh overall with double-digit sacks for Hunter. The 31-year-old has another year on his current deal and, along with Anderson, will return to scare quarterbacks and offensive linemen in 2026.

Texans' Danielle Hunter: Another sack in Week 17
Hunter recorded four total tackles (two solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Saturday's 20-16 victory over the Chargers.
Hunter was able to secure a sack for the third straight week, getting to Justin Herbert for a nine-yard loss in the first quarter. The 31-year-old has now registered at least one sack in six of the last eight games, compiling 10.0 sacks over those contests. Hunter is now up to 52 total tackles (27 solo), including 14.0 sacks, while also adding three passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery over 16 games this season.

Texans' Danielle Hunter: Secures sack in Week 16 win
Hunter finished Sunday's 23-21 victory versus Las Vegas with three tackles, including 1.0 sacks.
Hunter's sack came midway through the fourth quarter, when he brought down Geno Smith for a nine-yard loss. It was the second straight game with a sack for the veteran linebacker and pushed him up to 13.0 sacks on the season. That's tied for third in the NFL behind only Myles Garrett (22) and Brian Burns (15).

Texans' Danielle Hunter: Records four tackles in big win
Hunter posted four tackles (two solo) and a defensed pass Sunday in a 20-10 victory over Kansas City.
Hunter was part of a ferocious Texans defense that held Patrick Mahomes in check, limiting him to a 14-of-33 passing line with three interceptions. Hunter hasn't managed a sack either of the past two weeks following a dominant three-game stretch during which he racked up 7.0 sacks, but he does have a defensed pass in each of those past two games. On the season, Hunter is at 42 tackles (including 11.0 sacks), three defensed passes and two forced fumbles through 13 contests.
