Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Snags 17 rebounds in loss
Nurkic recorded six points (2-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 17 rebounds, four assists, one block and four steals across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 114-103 loss to the Pistons.
Nurkic entered the starting lineup for a third straight game Wednesday, and while he didn't have much of an impact offensively, he lived at the rim. He pulled down a season-high 17 rebounds, including three offensive boards. The 31-year-old also impressed by racking up a team high in steals. Nurkic should remain part of Utah's starting five for the foreseeable future after it was announced earlier Wednesday that Walker Kessler would require season-ending shoulder surgery.

Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Tough night from downtown
Markkanen totaled 25 points (8-22 FG, 3-12 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds and two steals in 40 minutes during Wednesday's 114-103 loss to Detroit.
Markkanen couldn't find his shooting touch from beyond the arc Wednesday and has struggled in this area of late. He's now 8-for-28 (28.6 percent) from downtown over his last three appearances. However, this hasn't stopped Markkanen from putting up serviceable scoring numbers, and he's now scored 20 or more points in all eight games to open the 2025-26 campaign.

Jazz's Svi Mykhailiuk: Leads Utah's scoring attack
Mykhailiuk finished with 28 points (10-16 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 2-3 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Wednesday's 114-103 loss to the Pistons.
It was clear Mykhailiuk was feeling it early on, and he ended up leading his squad in scoring. Wednesday's showing was by far his best of the young season, beating his previous best of 11 points Oct. 27 against the Suns. Mykhailiuk was averaging 6.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists through seven games entering the day, so he's unlikely to continue at this rate moving forward.

Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Set for starting role
Nurkic is expected to occupy a starting role for the foreseeable future due to Walker Kessler's season-ending shoulder surgery.
With Kessler out the past two games awaiting a diagnosis, Nurkic drew starts and averaged 7.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 26.5 minutes. It seems like he'll see minutes in the high-20s to low-30s most nights, though it could be heavily dictated by game flow. Blowout losses, like Sunday's 126-103 defeat at the hands of the Hornets, could lead to fewer minutes for Nurkic. In those cases, more run could be in store for Kyle Filipowski and Taylor Hendricks. It's possible the team also calls up two-way center Oscar Tshiebwe for some spot run. For his career, Nurkic is averaging 11.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.1 blocks and 0.9 steals in 24.3 minutes.

Jazz's Walker Kessler: To miss rest of season
Kessler will undergo left shoulder surgery to address a torn labrum and will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports.
This is a devastating blow for the Jazz and for Kessler's fantasy managers, given his high price in drafts. Kessler made just five appearances before his season was abruptly ended, finishing with averages of 14.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.4 steals. With Kessler sidelined the remainder of the campaign, Jusuf Nurkic is likely to step into a full-time starting role. However, the Jazz could also utilize smaller lineups, and guys like Kyle Filipowski and Taylor Hendricks could see increased run.

Jazz's Svi Mykhailiuk: Remains in rotation
Mykhailiuk chipped in nine points (4-12 FG, 1-8 3Pt), six rebounds and one assist across 29 minutes during Monday's 105-103 victory over the Celtics.
Isaiah Collier was cleared to make his return from a hamstring issue, but he did not see the floor. The coaching staff clearly likes what they see from Mykhailiuk, although it wasn't the best performance from the sharpshooter. He'll continue to be a decent three-point specialist for at least the short term.

Jazz's Isaiah Collier: Available Monday, but doesn't play
Collier (hamstring) was available for Monday's 105-103 win over the Celtics but didn't play in a coach's decision.
Head coach Will Hardy wasn't forthcoming before the game about Collier's role, and it turns out the point guard wasn't given a role at all. Keyonte George is in the midst of a breakout campaign, and rookie Walter Clayton has looked solid as a backup point guard. Collier will presumably get in the rotation sooner rather than later, but he doesn't appear likely to move back up to the top unit in the near future after making 46 starts as a rookie last season.

Jazz's Ace Bailey: Makes two field goals in win
Bailey produced four points (2-4 FG) and two rebounds in 18 minutes during Monday's 105-103 victory over the Celtics.
Bailey has been restricted to under 25 minutes in every game to start the season and has eclipsed 20 minutes only twice, which is playing a major part in the lack of production from the 2025 No. 5 overall pick. The rookie was dealing with an illness before the regular season, and it's possible he's still working his way back to full strength. However, Bailey also has to prove he's worthy of more minutes, which he hasn't done yet.

Jazz's Elijah Harkless: Rare appearance in win
Harkless finished Monday's 105-103 win over the Celtics with three points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal across 21 minutes.
Harkless played a season-high 21 minutes, sliding into the rotation for just the third time this season. While he did provide some nice energy on the defensive end, there is no indication that Harkless will be moving into a more permanent role anytime soon.

Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Bottoms out in victory
Hendricks contributed two points (1-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist across 14 minutes during Monday's 105-103 win over the Celtics.
Coming off arguably his best performance of the season, Hendricks remained in the starting lineup but was unable to repeat his heroics from the previous game. It's been a disappointing season thus far for Hendricks, averaging just 5.1 points and 4.1 rebounds in 16.1 minutes per game.

Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Double-double in start
Nurkic ended with 11 points (5-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and one block in 31 minutes during Monday's 105-103 win over Boston.
Nurkic recorded his first double-double of the season, including the winning basket with just 0.6 seconds remaining. That makes two consecutive starts for Nurkic, as he slid into the opening unit with Walker Kessler sidelined due to a shoulder concern. There is no clear return timetable for Kessler at this point, making Nurkic a viable short-term addition.

Jazz's Keyonte George: Paces Utah in win
George tallied 31 points (9-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 11-13 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal across 38 minutes in Monday's 105-103 win over the Celtics.
George led the Jazz with a team- and season-best 31 points. The 21-year-old point guard also tied the team high in three-pointers made, knocking down multiple triples for the fourth time in seven regular-season outings. During that span, he has recorded four games with at least 25 points and has yet to score fewer than 16.

Jazz's Isaiah Collier: Available for season debut
Collier (hamstring) is available for Monday's game against the Celtics.
A hamstring strain had delayed Collier's season debut for a few weeks, but he's joined the Jazz and is ready to suit up. It wouldn't be surprising if the second-year floor general had a slight minutes restriction, though he could push Svi Mykhailiuk from the first unit right away. Over 46 games as a starter last regular season, Collier averaged 11.5 points, 7.8 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 30.5 minutes per contest.

Jazz's Isaiah Collier: Recalled from G League
The Jazz recalled Collier (hamstring) from the G League's Salt Lake City Stars on Sunday.
Collier was recently cleared for full basketball activities and was assigned to the Stars to get his conditioning back up. A return against Boston on Monday could be on the table, but for now, fantasy managers can treat him as if he's questionable.

Jazz's Walter Clayton: Quiet outing in 19 minutes
Clayton logged four points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and two assists over 19 minutes during Sunday's 126-103 loss to the Hornets.
Keyonte George continues to break out for the Jazz, and he's currently leaving Clayton in the dust to pick up the scraps. Clayton does have serious upside, but his role could be squeezed shortly with Isaiah Collier (hamstring) expected to return any day now.

Jazz's Kevin Love: Sees backup center minutes
Love ended Sunday's 126-103 loss to the Hornets with three points (0-2 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds and five assists over 14 minutes.
Walker Kessler (shoulder) did not travel with the team to Charlotte and is undergoing further testing, and it sounds like he could potentially miss more time. Love picked up the backup center minutes behind Jusuf Nurkic on Sunday, and that trend may continue for the short term.
