Rays' Brandon Lowe: Lands on injured list
The Rays placed Lowe on the 10-day injured list Friday due to left oblique tightness.
The 31-year-old hasn't seen the field since suffering the injury Sunday in Minnesota, and he'll spend the final series before the All-Star break on the injured list. Lowe will be unable to take part in the Midsummer Classic as a result, but he'll be eligible to be reinstated for the start of the second half July 18 versus Baltimore.

Rays' Brandon Lowe: Sitting fourth straight
Lowe (side) isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against Boston, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Thursday will mark the fourth consecutive start Lowe has missed since tweaking his left side during Sunday's contest. The Rays haven't indicated that the 31-year-old will need to spend time on the IL, though that could change if he's unable to return to the starting nine soon. While Lowe continues to recover, Taylor Walls will pick up another start at the keystone and bat ninth.

Rays' Brandon Lowe: Missing third straight start
Lowe (side) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.
Though Lowe downplayed the left side injury after he was forced out of Sunday's 7-5 win over the Twins, he'll remain on the bench for a third straight contest Wednesday. Taylor Walls will fill in at the keystone for Lowe, whose 20-game hitting streak came to an end Sunday as he struck out in his lone at-bat.

Rays' Brandon Lowe: Sitting again Tuesday
Lowe (side) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Tigers, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.
The 31-year-old will sit for a second consecutive contest after leaving Sunday's game against the Twins due to left side soreness. It remains to be seen if Lowe will require a trip to the injured list, but a move to the IL wouldn't be surprising with the All-Star break less than a week away.

Rays' Brandon Lowe: Out of lineup with side issue
Lowe (side) is not in the lineup for Monday's game in Detroit, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
After exiting in the third inning of Sunday's win over the Twins due to left side soreness, Lowe isn't ready to start in the series opener in Detroit. According to Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun, Lowe said Monday that while his condition has improved since Sunday and he hasn't received an MRI, he'll need to see how his side responds to swinging the bat in addition to other pregame work before the Rays determine whether he'll need to go on the injured list. With the All-Star break looming, Tampa Bay could have some motivation to take a cautious approach with the veteran second baseman.

Rays' Brandon Lowe: Tweaks side Sunday
Lowe struck out in his lone at-bat in Sunday's game against the Twins before he was removed in the third inning due to left side soreness, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The Rays didn't clarify whether Lowe suffered the injury during his first-inning at-bat or during his two innings in the field. Regardless, Lowe's early exit ended up spelling an end to his 20-game hitting streak, which tied a franchise record. According to Topkin, Jose Caballero had been scheduled to receive Sunday off while he dealt with right arm soreness, but he was pressed into action at second base following Lowe's departure. Consider Lowe day-to-day until Tampa Bay provides another update on his status.
