Player Outlook
Luis Vazquez made his MLB debut late in the 2024 season. He appeared in 11 contests for the Cubs and tallied just one hit in 12 at-bats. There's not much that can be gleaned from such a small sample, and the 25-year-old was more productive in a longer stretch of games with Triple-A Omaha. At that level, Vazquez slashed .263/.347/.432 with eight home runs, 24 RBI and 33 runs scored across 64 contests. The shortstop didn't run much, and that's never really been a part of his game during his time in the minors. Vazquez looks like organizational depth heading into 2025 with Dansby Swanson and Nico Hoerner entrenched up the middle in Chicago. Vazquez may get a call up at some point, but he's not really on the radar for fantasy purposes.
