Marlins' Xzavion Curry: Joining Triple-A Jacksonville
Curry was sent outright to Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday.
Curry was designated for assignment by the Marlins on Friday and will now report to Triple-A after going unclaimed on waivers. He'll provide Miami with bullpen depth, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him back in the big leagues at some point later in the year.

Marlins' Xzavion Curry: Booted from 40-man roster
The Marlins designated Curry for assignment Friday.
A spot on the 40-man roster was needed for the addition of catcher Rob Brantly. Curry has yielded four runs (two earned) over three innings out of the Marlins' bullpen this season. He has previously been outrighted off the 40-man roster, so Curry will have the option to elect free agency if he clears waivers again.

Marlins' Xzavion Curry: Moves up to big leagues
The Marlins selected Curry's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.
Miami designated right-hander Brett de Geus for assignment and optioned right-hander Valente Bellozo to Triple-A to make room on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster for Curry. Though Bellozo's demotion clears a spot in the rotation, Curry is likely ticketed for the bullpen in the short term to provide Miami with some extra coverage in relief. Curry and fellow long reliever Tyler Phillips are candidates to start when Miami's open spot comes around next weekend in Atlanta.

Marlins' Xzavion Curry: Sent to minor-league camp
The Marlins reassigned Curry to minor-league camp Monday.
Curry has pitched well this spring with just one unearned run allowed over six innings, although he's managed just two strikeouts. The 26-year-old will begin the season at Triple-A Jacksonville as starting pitching depth.

Marlins' Xzavion Curry: Remains in organization
Curry cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.
The right-hander was designated for assignment by the Marlins on Tuesday but will stick in the organization after passing through waivers unclaimed. Curry will remain in big-league camp as a non-roster invitee but is likely to open the campaign at the Triple-A level.

Marlins' Xzavion Curry: Designated for assignment
The Marlins designated Curry for assignment Tuesday.
The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for waiver claim Ronny Henriquez. Curry holds a career 4.35 ERA and 98:43 K:BB over 147 innings covering parts of three major-league seasons. He stands a decent chance of clearing waivers.

Marlins' Xzavion Curry: Goes five innings in win
Curry (2-2) earned the win against the Blue Jays on Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and one walk with one strikeout over five innings.
Curry drew his first start since July 23 and rebounded from a solo homer in the first inning with four scoreless frames. The 26-year-old generated just two whiffs on 65 pitches but fired 42 strikes and limited hard contact. He'll finish the season with a 4.64 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 28:7 K:BB across 42.2 innings with the Guardians and Marlins.

Marlins' Xzavion Curry: Scoops up win in relief
Curry (1-2) struck out two over 1.2 perfect innings of relief and was credited with a win Sunday in the Marlins' 7-5 victory over the Giants.
After covering five innings with Triple-A Jacksonville on Aug. 23, Curry looked to be a candidate to fill the vacant fifth spot in the Miami rotation following his call-up Wednesday, but the Marlins instead turned to Darren McCaughan on Sunday to fill the opening. Curry, who retired both batters he faced in relief during Saturday's 4-3 win, has yet to allow a baserunner in 2.1 innings with Miami.

Marlins' Xzavion Curry: Recalled from Jacksonville
The Marlins recalled Curry from Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
The Marlins optioned Roddery Munoz to Triple-A following his poor start Tuesday, so Curry will now come up from the minors and could potentially claim the fifth spot in the rotation. The 26-year-old righty owns a 5.84 ERA and 1.38 WHIP through 24.2 innings in the big leagues this season and hasn't performed well at Triple-A either (6.82 ERA, 1.48 WHIP through 60.2 innings).

Marlins' Xzavion Curry: Claimed by Miami
The Marlins claimed Curry off waivers from the Guardians on Friday.
Curry holds a 4.53 ERA and 85:41 K:BB in 129 innings over the last three seasons while operating in a swingman role for Cleveland. It appears he will report to Triple-A Jacksonville for now, but the righty may well get another shot at the big leagues before long given the state of the Marlins' rotation.

Guardians' Xzavion Curry: Removed from 40-man roster
The Guardians designated Curry for assignment Tuesday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of Anthony Gose. Curry has had uninspiringly results as a swingman with the Guardians over the past three seasons, posting a 4.53 ERA and 85:41 K:BB over 129 innings.

Guardians' Xzavion Curry: Sent to Triple-A
The Guardians optioned Curry to Triple-A Columbus on Sunday
The right-hander was dropped from Cleveland's starting rotation last week, and he'll head to Triple-A after he allowed four runs over three innings out of the bullpen Saturday. Curry has a 5.84 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 15:5 K:BB across 24.2 frames in the majors this season.

Guardians' Xzavion Curry: Not starting Sunday
Curry won't start Sunday's game against the Phillies as previously scheduled, Paul Hoynes of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
The 26-year-old was initially penciled in to start Sunday, but the Guardians have instead called up Joey Cantillo from Triple-A Columbus to make his MLB debut. Curry allowed two runs over 4.1 innings during his previous start and has a 4.98 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 13:4 K:BB across 21.2 big-league innings this season. Matthew Boyd (elbow) is also nearing a return from the injured list, so Curry may not have many opportunities to start going forward and could move to the bullpen on a permanent basis.

Guardians' Xzavion Curry: Stays in rotation
Curry is scheduled to start Sunday's game against the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.
Curry will make his second straight turn through the rotation after he previously picked up his fourth start of the season with the Guardians -- and his first since May 27 -- on Tuesday against the Tigers. Since he had been building up as a starter at Triple-A Columbus prior to getting plugged into the big-league rotation coming out of the All-Star break, Curry had light workload limitations in place Tuesday, when he took a no-decision after giving up two earned runs over 4.1 innings and 62 pitches. Curry should be capable of working deeper into Sunday's contest, though it will be contingent on him keeping a potent Phillies lineup at bay.

Guardians' Xzavion Curry: Goes 4.1 innings in start
Curry didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Tigers, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk over 4.1 innings. He struck out one batter.
Curry held Detroit off the board through his first three innings before surrendering a two-run homer to Wenceel Perez in the fourth. The 25-year-old Curry's logged a mediocre 4.98 ERA over 21.2 innings in the majors this season with a 1.25 WHIP and 13:4 K:BB, though he was impressive with Triple-A Columbus while posting a 2.21 ERA in his last four minor-league outings. Curry could remain in the Guardians rotation until Matthew Boyd (elbow) is ready to to be activated from the injured list. Curry currently lines up for a tough road matchup with the Phillies this weekend.

Guardians' Xzavion Curry: Joining rotation Tuesday
Curry is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Tigers in Cleveland.
Curry will enter the rotation as a replacement for Spencer Howard, who took the hill the last time the Guardians required a fifth starter July 11. Howard has since been designated for assignment, but Curry may prove to be just a stopgap in the rotation until Matthew Boyd (elbow) returns from the injured list, or until the Guardians see enough improvement at Triple-A Columbus from struggling starters Triston McKenzie or Logan Allen to bring either back to the big leagues. Curry has previously made three starts for Cleveland this season, turning in a 5.68 ERA and 8:3 K:BB in 12.2 innings over those outings.
