  • Braves' Matt Olson: Leaves yard Tuesday

Olson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's loss to the Blue Jays. Olson's home run came in the sixth inning on a 412-foot blast to center field off Kevin Gausman. It was his first extra-base hit since he last homered April 4. Olson's surface numbers have been a bit unlucky, as he's been making good contact, but it hasn't led to many hits yet. He's been seeing the ball well, as evidenced by his 13:13 BB:K thus far. For the year, Olson's slashing .200/.342/.350 with two homers, nine RBI and five runs scored.

  • Braves' Matt Olson: Flexing muscles in camp

Olson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Yankees. He went back-to-back with Austin Riley in the first inning off Marcus Stroman. The blast was Olson's second of the spring in 13 at-bats, and the 30-year-old first baseman will look to rebound this season after what was by his standards a disappointing 2024 campaign in which he produced "only" 29 homers and 98 RBI.

  • Braves' Matt Olson: Homers twice in rout

Olson went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs, four total RBI and three total runs scored in Thursday's 15-3 win over Cincinnati. Olson got the scoring started with a solo shot off Julian Aguiar in the second inning before adding a three-run homer in the fifth, extending Atlanta's lead to 8-1. While it's been a down year overall for Olson, he's been on fire down the stretch, going 15-for-36 (.417) with a pair of home runs and 15 RBI in his last 10 games. The 30-year-old first baseman has boosted his slash line to .243/.326/.459 with 28 homers, 94 RBI and 76 runs scored across 647 plate appearances this season.

Olson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 4-2 victory against the Marlins on Thursday. Olson hit one of three Atlanta homers, swatting a two-run shot to right field in the first inning. The first baseman has gone deep in two straight games and in four of his past six contests, belting five homers and driving in eight runs during that span. • Braves' Matt Olson: Goes yard twice in win

Olson went 2-for-4 with a walk and two solo home runs in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Brewers. The slugger took Freddy Peralta deep in the fourth inning before clobbering a Nick Mears offering in the eighth. Travis d'Arnaud followed up each blast with a homer of his own, as they became the third pair of Atlanta teammates to go back-to-back twice in a game -- Fred McGriff and David Justice accomplished the feat in 1993, with Javy Lopez and Andruw Jones also doing it in 1998. Olson's first multi-homer performance of 2024 comes as part of a hot streak that has seen him bat .290 (9-for-31) over the last eight games with four long balls and six RBI.

Olson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Phillies. Olson took rookie Michael Mercado deep in the second inning to break out of a 14-game homerless drought. It was Olson's second streak of 14 or more games without a homer this season after having only one such streak last season. The 30-year-old entered the game in a 10-for-65 slump with just two extra-base hits and three RBI in his last 18 games, so he'll perhaps now find some positive momentum heading into the All-Star break.
