Guardians' Andrew Walters: Activated from IL
Walters (lat) was activated from the injured list Thursday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Sam Hentges RP | CLE
Guardians' Sam Hentges: Activated from IL
Hentges (shoulder) was activated from the injured list Thursday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Will Brennan RF | CLE
Guardians' Will Brennan: Back from IL
Brennan (elbow) was activated from the injured list Thursday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.
Brennan underwent sports hernia surgery in September, which was about three months after he required Tommy John surgery. His recovery time from the elbow procedure is much shorter as a position player, so he could be ready for the start of spring training.

Matt Krook RP | CLE
Matt Krook: Headed to free agency
The Guardians outrighted Krook to Triple-A Columbus, and he elected free agency Thursday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.
Krook's only big-league appearances came with the A's in May, but he spent the final four months of the season in the Guardians' organization. He'll likely find a minor-league deal around the league this winter.

Will Wilson 2B | CLE
Guardians' Will Wilson: Booted from 40-man roster
Wilson was outrighted to Triple-A Columbus by the Guardians and elected free agency Thursday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.
Wilson made his big-league debut and picked up 91 plate appearances with Cleveland in 2025 before finishing the campaign with Columbus. He had only a .511 OPS for the Guardians and will now look for another opportunity around the league.

Dom Nunez C | CLE
Dom Nunez: Hits open market
Nunez was outrighted to Triple-A Columbus by the Guardians and elected free agency Thursday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.
Nunez had a very brief stint in the majors in early June, but he otherwise spent his season in Columbus. He could get a minor-league deal elsewhere this winter.

Ben Lively SP | CLE
Ben Lively: Loses roster spot
Lively (elbow) was outrighted to Triple-A Columbus by the Guardians on Thursday and elected free agency, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.
Lively was a fairly effective starter for Cleveland to begin the season with a 3.22 ERA over 44.2 innings, but he underwent elbow surgery in late May. He likely won't be able to retake a big-league mound until the middle of the 2026 season, so it may take him some time to find a new opportunity.

Kolby Allard RP | CLE
Kolby Allard: Removed from Cleveland's roster
Allard was outrighted to Triple-A Columbus by the Guardians and elected free agency Thursday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.
Allard pitched primarily out of the bullpen for the Guardians and was very effective in the role. He maintained a 2.63 ERA and 1.20 WHIP to go along with a 42:14 K:BB across 65 frames, often working multiple innings. Given those results, Allard should be able to land another big-league contract this winter.
-
John Means SP | CLE
John Means: Hits free agency
The Guardians declined Means' (elbow) 2026 club option Thursday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.
Means is near the end of his recovery from Tommy John surgery but hasn't pitched in the majors since May 22, 2024. He made seven total rehab appearances in the final six weeks of the campaign, so he should be ready for the start of spring training with his new club.
