Draft Scouting Report

Rating: 81.65 (Starter)
Pro Comparison: Trent Brown
Summary

Cameron Williams is a massive right tackle with a huge ceiling if he can improve pass sets and technique. Despite being a starter for just one year, Williams showed exceptional power at the point as a run blocker. He has good feet for a large human and has the ability to overpower defenders with strong hands.

About
  • 2024: Allowed three sacks on 904 pass-blocking snaps
  • 2024: Part of Texas offensive line that was Joe Moore Award finalist (best in nation)
Strengths
  • Massive frame and excellent run blocker who can dominate defenders once engaged
  • Aggressive and a finisher in both phases with strong hands and power to engulf defenders if they work down the middle of his body
  • Long arms and strength to anchor and erase defenders who don’t work his edges with speed and quickness
Weaknesses
  • Late off the ball on pass sets at times and rarely gets to the spot in time vs. speed rushers due to slow feet and bad technique
  • Penalties are consistently an issue (had seven in 2024)
  • Struggled against top competition with 15 combined pressures and four sacks allowed against Georgia (twice) and Ohio State
